Commercial Vessels
HMU offers a wide range of commercial product lines to suit the needs of our maritime community and customers. We offer Institute clauses “All Risk” physical damage coverage for commercial vessels, which may include contractor’s equipment, fishing gear, catch and personal effects. We specialize in passenger vessels and fishing vessels, as well as tugs & barges.
Commercial Operations
We are also able to offer competitive lines on Marine construction risks, including vessel rebuilds, refits and conversions. In addition, we write "All Risks" on inventory and stock for Boat Dealers, as well as for Piers, Wharves & Docks.
P&I / Marine Liabilities
HMU writes Protection & Indemnity for our commercial clients, with a wide variety of limits available. Our diverse range of available extensions include towers legal liability, non-owned cargo legal liability, passenger liability, food/beverage/liquor liability, along with limited Crew Liability in the U.S. for fishing vessels and Pollution Liability for Canadian vessels. HMU also specializes in Marine General Liability policies with available extensions for Marina Operators, Ship Repairers, Wharfingers, as well as Terminal Operators.
