General Manager
As General Manager of HMU Erin leads, directs and oversees all of the Company's activities.
She is a Chartered Insurance Professional, Marine Specialist, who joined the company in 1990.
With many years of claims experience, Erin also fulfills the role of Claims Manager for HMU.

Cindy Morton
Assistant General Manager
Cindy assists Erin in the management and direction of the Company as well as fulfilling the function of Underwriting Manager. She is a Chartered Insurance Professional, Marine Specialist, who joined the Company in 2002. Prior to this she had 24 years experience as an underwriter and broker.

Ardith Ralph
Controller
Ardith joined HMU in 2003, with 25 years previous accounting experience. She has a CMA designation and is responsible for all aspects of accounting and finance. She also assists Erin and Cindy in the overall management of the company.

Jackie, our receptionist from 2005 to 2006, and Underwriting Assistant from 2007 to 2008, now provides support to the Claims Department, handling claims entry and filing

Underwriter
Corey, a Chartered Insurance Professional, Marine Specialist, began working for HMU in 2005, having already had 9 years experience as an underwriter.

Lindsay Kruit
Accountant
Although new to the Marine Insurance Industry, Lindsay comes to HMU with a Bachelors Degree in Economics and experience working in Finance in Africa and in Accounts Receivable here in Vancouver. She is currently completing her Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.

Assistant Accountant
May is one of our longest serving employees, having been with HMU since 1981. She takes care of accounting for the HMU Pool, General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Cathee came to HMU in 2001, with extensive experience in claims admin. Since the beginning of 2010, she has been handling Pleasure Craft claims.

Dave is a Senior Underwriter with over 20 years experience in marine underwriting and claims. He is a Chartered Insurance Professional who joined the company in 2010.

Administrative Manager
Joanne had her 30th anniversary with the company in April 2010, having joined HMU in 1980. She is senior assistant to the underwriters and is responsible for the assessment and direction of policy processing and invoicing.

U.S.A. Claims Manager
Chris handles U.S. and Canadian claims and assists in the daily operations of the claims department. She joined HMU in 1991, after 16 years of service as Reed Stenhouse’s Marine Claims Supervisor in Vancouver.

Underwriting Associate
Susan, our receptionist from 1997 to 2005, now provides support to the underwriting department, in policy processing and invoicing.
